Both horses were super! The Symposium was run superbly by Ali Buchanan and the instruction of Ellen Bontje along side Lorraine MacDonald for the judging portion could not have been more informative. On Sunday they made the trek down towards San Diego and are now training in Rancho Santa Fe at Sue Blinks barn! Their next competition will be the Del Mar National at the end of the month before they make the journey back home. Monday April 4, 2011 Courtenay and Lukas have just completed The Festival of the Horse, in Burbank, CA. This was the first of the three shows they are attending this month. They have now headed back up to Sacramento for The Golden State Dressage Festival in Rancho Murietta, CA being held this weekend! Markus Gribbe, Dressage Canada's new Technical Leader was at The Festival of the Horse to have a view of what the Canadian Western Riders are presenting this season. Courtenay and Lukas were lucky enough to have a lesson with Markus just before departing to Rancho Murieta for the Golden State Dressage Festival.
